We are thrilled to welcome Laetitia Catoir as LGDR’s Senior Partner, leading all operations in France.
We have known Laetitia for many years. Her connoisseurship and expertise of Post-War European Art is unparalleled and her commitment to artists unwavering. She is known in the art world for her passion, enthusiasm, and ethics. An esteemed industry figure, Laetitia is respected by artists, curators, collectors, as well as her peers.
She joins the gallery with exceptional art world experience. After completing MA’s at l’Ecole du Louvre and the Sorbonne University, Paris—in Museum Studies and Art History, respectively—she worked from 1998 to 2007 at Christie’s London, first as a Specialist and later as a Director in the Contemporary Art Department. She then moved to Phillips de Pury in New York until 2010, when she returned to London to take up a position as a Director at Blain|Southern. From 2020 to 2022, she was a Senior Director at Hauser & Wirth London, responsible for the launch and operation of their Monaco gallery and exhibition program.
Laetitia is one the founding members of the board of 1-54, the contemporary African art fair which she helped launch in London in 2012 and she sits on the board of Raw Material Company, an art center and residency in Dakar. Alongside this she has curated a number of independent projects and is part of panels and arts juries in Europe and internationally.
