LGDR has established its new headquarters in a Beaux Arts-style townhouse at 19 East 64th Street, New York. Inspired by the 18th-century Hôtel de Wailly in Paris, the building was designed by architect Horace Trumbauer and completed in 1932—a grand but intimate site for truly memorable aesthetic experiences.
Designer and architect Bill Katz will bring this building back to its original condition, and LGDR will begin presenting exhibitions and programs in 2023.
LGDR’s building at 3 East 89th Street will close for long-planned construction and will reopen next year as a project space dedicated to artist-driven performances, special exhibitions, and public programming.
Together, these two historic buildings will provide the ideal platform for LGDR—a home for initiatives that express the collaborative model upon which the gallery was conceived.
